In this class, you will etch a design onto a slate tile to make a coaster.

Students will learn to convert a JPEG file into a usable format to be etched onto a slate tile using the laser cutter.  Students should bring a single-color drawing in JPEG format, no larger than 3.5" x 3.5", to transfer onto the tile.  Slate tiles will be provided (one tile per student).

This class is considered a "make & take" class, not a "red tool" class.  This class does not authorize you to use the laser independently.

No prerequisites for this class.  All materials will be provided.

This class will meet in the main room at Makersmiths Leesburg.
