Come join us in making the Sweet Tweet Valentine Card from a template created by Dreaming Tree SVG that uses cutting machines.  The class introduces students to the Cricut and/or the Silhouette software and Cricut and Silhouette cutting machines. Makersmiths has a Cricut Maker 3 at MS-L and a Cricut Explore Air 2 at MS-P for members to use. So, this class is appropriate for beginners or even seasoned cutting machine users.

We will be meeting in the Green Room in the upper site building of the Makersmiths-Purcellville location.

In preparation for the class, please bring your own laptop. If bringing your own laptop and cutting machine (Cricut or Silhouette), be sure you have the appropriate software preloaded on your laptop for the machine you are bringing to this workshop. If you do not own a cutting machine and want to learn to use one, bring a laptop with Cricut Design Space software preloaded (it is free) and you will be given a Cricut cutting machine to use.

In this workshop, we will be covering how to download a free project template from Dreaming Tree, upload SVG files and prepare your files in Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio.  After your file is ready to cut, you will learn the differences between cut and score lines, when to use the attach tool, and to properly cut your project with a cutting machine.  Once you have cut all your pieces for your card, we will assemble them all together to make a Valentine card.
